Cummin

Cumin is a small annual plant native to the Mediterranean region, but now cultivated in India, Iran, and the United States. This widely used spice, is used medicinally to relieve indigestion, gas, nausea, and lack of appetite.


For culinary purposes, Cummin is said to be similar to Caraway in flavor however, it is lighter in color and is believed to have a stronger flavor. It's a major curry ingredient, and is used in Chinese, Vietnamese, Arabic, Indian, Mexican & Cajun dishes.
