Henna

Henna is a small shrub that is found in Egypt, India, and the Middle East. While it's perhaps best known for the red dye it produces, preparations of the leaves were also reportedly used as a traditional aid for skin problems.

In addition to being used for cosmetic purposes, Henna leaves were also used by Eastern cultures for a wide variety of medicinal applications. For example in traditional Indian medicine, the leaves were reportedly used for coughs, bronchitis, rheumatism,
and painful or difficult urination.

Common use:
Skin problems; headaches; gargle for sore throat; hair highlights.
