Karaya

Karaya gum is harvested from a soft wooded tree native to India and Pakistan. The versatile powder is used in numerous food and pharmaceutical preparations. In traditional herbalism, it’s employed as a soothing bulk laxative.

Karaya gum is an economical substitute for Tragacanth gum (a non-fragrant ingredient for binding incense blends). COMMON NAMES: Indian Tragacanth, Kadaya, Kadira, Katila, Kullo, Mucara.
