Lady's Mantle

Lady's Mantle is a perennial plant found in Europe, North America, Greenland and northern Asia. Its descriptive name may be indicative of its traditional application for aiding female problems, including menstrual and menopausal complaints.

Botanical references note that Lady's Mantle common name as well as its Latin name appears to be descriptive of its reported therapeutic actions. It is said to be an astringent and various preparations have been used in European folk medicine for heavy
menstruation, menstrual cramping, and combined with other antiseptic herbs as a douche for vaginal infections. It was also reportedly used in Europe for helping to adjust female hormone levels during menopause, and one references even noted that Lady's
Mantle might help control excessive menstrual bleeding, particularly in the beginning menopause years.
