Papaw

Papaya grows as small trees in tropical regions of the world. It is perhaps best known for its traditional use as a digestive aid for relieving upset stomachs, gas, and other gastrointestinal complaints.

The fresh fruit, dried fruit, seeds, leaves and even the milky fluid or latex of the unripe Papayas are used for a number of beneficial purposes by natives of the Caribbean, Africa, South America, Asia, and other areas where Papayas are found. In other
parts of the world where Papayas are not readily found, the dried leaves are most often used either in capsules or as a pleasant-tasting tea to relieve digestive complaints.

Common use:
Indigestion; promotes digestion; gas; nausea; bloating; sour stomach.
