Patchouly

Patchouli is the fragrant East Indian plant that yields the very popular essential oil of the same name. The dried leaves have been used for everything from making aromatic sachets to being used as insect repellants to treating colds.

Patchouli has been valued for its fragrance for centuries- the leaves have been described as having a deep, intense, woody fragrance. In addition to being employed for its distinctive scent, dried Patchouli leaves are considered valuable insect
repellants, particularly moths.
